U-shaped glass curtain wall should be made of safety glass, including toughened glass glass, laminated glass, insulating glass, fire-resistant glass, sunlight-controlled coated glass and LOW-E coated glass. Choosing shading method is not only a necessary method for energy-saving design of U-shaped glass curtain wall buildings, but also a necessary method for U-shaped glass curtain wall buildings with higher standards in architectural design.

The detailed selection requirements are as follows:

1. Curtain wall should use safety glass, glass thickness not less than 6mm. All U-shaped glass curtain wall ribbed glass thickness should not be less than 12 mm.

2. When U-type glass curtain wall choose heat reflection coating glass, should choose vacuum magnetron cathode sputtering coating glass or on-line thermal spray coating glass. The appearance quality and technical specifications of float glass for heat reflection coating glass should meet the requirements of Grade I or Grade I in our current standard “Float glass glass”(GB11614) .

3. The insulating glass of curtain wall should be sealed by double channels.

Polysulfide sealant and butyl sealant should be used for insulating glass of open frame curtain wall, and silicone structural sealant and butyl sealant should be used for insulating glass of hidden frame and semi-hidden frame curtain wall The coating surface shall be on a second or third surface of the insulating glass.

4. Curtain wall laminated glass should be made of dry process Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film. Laminated film (PVB) support point U-shaped glass curtain wall laminated glass thickness should not be less than 0.76 mm.

5. The toughened glass should comply with all the requirements of GB9963 toughened glass.

6.All curtain wall glazing shall be edge treated.
